It seems like just recently we spoke about the upcoming Lord of the Rings MMORPG coming to consoles and PC, well it looks like Daedalic Entertainment is also in the game, so to speak, in creating a brand new title around the Middle Earth universe, Lord of the Rings: Gollum, for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The images originally surfaced on Gamestar, having the exclusive first look at the upcoming title, and what surprised us was the look of Gollum. We all know of Gollum as the lovable, but crazy look of Andy Serkis from the original films, however it seems that the team over at Daedalic is taking a different approach at how the main star of the game looks.
Though a very different look, the game is set around Gollum platforming and sneaking around the nasty, nasty orcs (curious to know if we’ll see any little hobbitses), and fighting the inner voices and personalities between Gollum and Sméagol – much like we know of in the books and films. The above images show off a different look to the main protagonist, while showing off different dialogues going in in his head.
After these images, we get to see a whole new, next-generation look to Mordor – the epic, and widely known realm where we first knew of Sauron, the arch-villain of the stories. Though we don’t see much of Mount Doom, just by a little glimpse on the first image, it is interesting to note the different looks of the Orcs.
This is one of the first real looks at what the PS5 and Xbox Series X titles may just look like, with a beautifully rendered title such as Lord of the Rings: Golllum, we’ll be seeing this little precious next year on PC and next generation consoles.
