Kakao Games has announced the release, or at least re-confirmed, of ArcheAge 2. When it was last covered here on Sarumonin.com, it was in 2020, talking about the new publishing deal. Now, 2 years later, it seems the publisher and developer have shown off a brand-new trailer with some gameplay and commentary from the creator of the game.
Overall, the game looks absolutely gorgeous, and viewers can tell how much work was put in using the power of Unreal Engine 5. Still, not much was answered in regard to the Business Model, the past management with Kakao Games, Pay to Win, Lootboxes and more. So, that remains an on-going mystery for now. If I were to compare the combat with something that I’ve seen before, I’d say a combination of Black Desert and Bless Unleashed, and I’m hoping that isn’t an indication for how the game will end up being.
