Following its successful beta test on the Xbox One, the Phantasy Star Online 2 Official Twitter Account confirmed just today that the Open Beta for the game would be releasing on March 17th, on Xbox One first.
The time is finally here! The #PSO2NA Open Beta Test starts next week, March 17th! Play one of Japan's biggest online action RPGs, coming first on @Xbox One.

Reactions from the announcement have been pleasant to see, and I for one can’t wait to see the game release on the PS4 once the timed exclusivity with Xbox One is done. That does raise the question whether or not Crossplay will be releasing as well, since we do know that there will be crossplay with PC – and the JP version does have Crossplay between Windows PC, Playstation 4, Playstation Vita, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Been waiting on this announcement. Thank you for coming back into my life.

For all the latest news on Phantasy Star Online 2, we recommend following their Twitter, and making sure you keep an eye on their Official Website. Although, we do have a bot on the Sarumonin Discord that will alert you when a new post on the official site is posted, under the PSO2 channel. I’ll be keeping an eye on the game, and as previously said, I can’t wait until the game is everywhere. It’s about time we get something fresh in the MMORPG genre… even though it’s been out for years in other regions. Well, you know what I mean.
